Okay so David hasn’t been keeping up with the blog. We are still riding and definitely still commuting everyday. It amazes me that people still ask if we are commuting. Their theory is weather has to be an issue so during the winter it was too cold now it is too hot. For me those are just excuses that some people use not to feel guilty. I mean there are plenty of theories on why cycling doesn’t fit into someone’s life. Those choices are reflective of one’s own lifestyle so you can’t expect others to make the same choices. So when you question me why do I sometimes ride alone and hope to find joy in that David has stopped riding, you disappoint me. Why? That you would hope something that brings joy would end for your own amusement. Also why must everyone I encounter think that I surely can not ride alone. Oh it must be so terrifying to ride all alone, to the contrary there is nothing more empowering than riding on my own. I am not saying I want to ride on my own every day or every ride, I am saying, yeah I can do it and I do not fear or dread doing so. So yeah, we are still commuting.
